Abnex Invests $15M to Expand Cable Tray Manufacturing Capabilities at Niedax MonoSystems

Niedax MonoSystems, an Abnex cable tray brand and a five-decade member of Buffalo, NY’s business community, recently broke ground on a 45,000-square-foot manufacturing site expansion.

Buffalo Expansion Project Highlights

The Buffalo Expansion Project represents a key opportunity for the North America–based Abnex joint venture, expanding our Western New York production footprint by an additional 45,000 square feet.

This initiative is part of a broader investment strategy aimed at scaling our manufacturing capabilities to meet the growing demand for tailored cable management solutions across North America. This $15M investment will bring increased efficiency to the cable management supply chain by enabling Niedax MonoSystems to manufacture additional products locally.

Construction of the primary facility is expected to conclude by late 2026 and will be purpose-built to deploy state-of-the-art manufacturing and safety equipment. The investment also features advanced automated robotics systems to deliver the precision and speed customers expect from Abnex. Once complete, Niedax MonoSystems will operate more than 100,000 square feet of production floor space.

February 11, 2026 Expansion Project Groundbreaking

Niedax MonoSystems proudly hosted a Buffalo Expansion Project groundbreaking event on February 11, 2026, marking the start of construction following a comprehensive assessment of the project’s impact on Abnex, our partners, and the local community.

Remarks from Abnex President & CEO Cornelius I. Steele headlined the event, emphasizing how we will continue to support long-term customer, supplier, and partner success with "...bold and forward-thinking investments.”

The exceptional skill and dedication of Niedax MonoSystems’ workforce was a key factor in the decision to pursue this opportunity. Continued employee engagement is essential to achieving our objective of creating a safe working environment where every member of our teams thrives.

Recognizing Our Partners

Abnex is grateful for the support we've received from the Office of Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz.
